Turning data into insights and presenting them in a way that everyone understands is still a challenge. The trick is in turning it into intuitive visuals so that the reader can easily see when and on what action to take. This may sound easy, but how do you put everything together? And how do you make sure you don't lose anyone in your story during the presentation? With the training course: Storytelling with Data, we look at how we as humans process information and how you use this knowledge to build visuals, dashboards and reports. Learn to let your insights and analysis make an impact.

for who:

The training is designed for anyone who wants to learn to turn data into a story. It could be that you are a reporting specialist who needs to bring a lot of information together into a dashboard or that you are an analyst who needs to convey your analyses and associated insights to your internal or external customers.


During this training, we cover several points using a real-life case. During the case, you will learn:

  • Building a story to make your insights speak volumes
  • Understand the human brain's way of processing information and convert it into intuitive visuals and dashboards
  • Be able to link different types of graphs to a target
  • Process multiple graphs into a coherent whole
  • Design understandable and quick-to-read dashboards
  • Knowing the level at which to report and what works best for that purpose
  • Creating a checklist based on your examples to fall back on to make that lasting impact again and again

  • Turning numbers into a good story.
  • Building clear visuals that convey a strong message
  • Making a clear selection for what should and should not be in the dashboard
  • Creating intuitive dashboard designs
